Fun with the back to the 80's mini theme

We were privileged to get the opportunity to apply a 1980’s theme to three Minis from Ocean Mini at Falmouth.

Mike Fidler from Nineteen Creative initially contacted Richard enquiring as to whether he would be interested in looking at the proposals. Being a 1980’s fan, he jumped at the chance and worked closely with Mike and Martijn from Ocean Mini.

“It was great to get involved in a fun job like this” said Richard. “It was hard to work out who was the most exited, me, because of the great memories that the cars brought back, Martijn and his team, because they couldn’t wait to get in and drive the Minis or Mike, because he wanted to see his designs come to life”.

The Falmouth based Old Eggs rugby sevens team has this week launched its new shirt to celebrate 10 years of competing in seven`s events around the South West. Now partnered with the towns most reputed Hotel, the team will compete under the new name of the Falmouth Hotel Old Eggs, and will wear the shirt at Newquay Surf7s on Sunday July 3rd.

Team Manager, Richard Jackson, is delighted with the new partnership and sees it as a springboard for the next 10 years; Richard said “The agreement with the Falmouth Hotel allows the team to develop its already growing reputation as one of the most attractive invitational sevens teams in the South West. Recently the Old Eggs has had some superb talent playing in the team such as Josh Matavesi (Racing Metro and Fiji) and Darren Dawidiuk (Gloucester), along with the best sevens talent available locally from teams such as Penryn, Redruth, Camborne and the Cornish All Blacks.

The aim is to continue this growth and cement the future of the Old Eggs team. We started 10 years ago with a group of guys who simply wanted some fun playing sevens, and we have maintained that ethos whilst also developing a reputation for our professional approach and strong sevens brand. The team is always diverse, with players from Fiji, New Zealand and France already wearing the famous Old Eggs jersey.”
